KUWAIT: The Kuwait Court of Cassation sentenced a Syrian expatriate to three years of imprisonment with hard labor, followed by deportation from the country after completing his sentence. The individual was found guilty of forging documents to obtain a replacement civil ID card under a fictitious name, linked to his revoked Kuwaiti nationality. He intended to use the forged ID in official transactions and misled an employee into believing the documents were genuine. However, the employee noticed that the individual had a "block" in government records, raising suspicion. The employee alerted their manager, who reviewed the transaction and confirmed it was fraudulent. The matter was reported to the investigations department, whose officers promptly arrested the accused.
