KUWAIT : In response to reports circulating on social media regarding the death of a citizen in a hospital, following claims that his companion stated he was not in the room where he was receiving treatment, the Ministry of Health announced that official authorities are investigating the incident.
The ministry clarified in a statement that the patient had a chronic illness and that a transfer to a specialized hospital, equipped to provide the necessary care, was recommended. However, this recommendation was declined by the family.

The statement further noted that the medical and nursing staff in the ward continued to provide appropriate medical care and attention based on the patient's health condition. When the companion reported that the patient was missing from his hospital room, the relevant authorities were immediately informed. Joint search and investigation teams were formed, leading to the discovery of the patient's dead body. The investigation is ongoing, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are being examined. The ministry extends its condolences, asking for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased.
