KUWAIT: A confrontation between a young man and a girl took place at a gas station in the Al-Shaab area, where they exchanged verbal insults over a parking issue. The girl accused the young man of insulting her, while he claimed that he said, Respect yourself so that people will respect you, which was not meant as insults or slander. In response, the girl reportedly told him, "Get out from here, get out from here."
A security source revealed that the 24-year-old woman filed a complaint at the Maidan Hawally Police Station, claiming she was insulted by an unknown man and provided details about his vehicle.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle belonged to a Kuwaiti citizen, but was being used by his Gulf national friend. The Gulf national, when contacted, came forward and explained his side of the story, stating that the argument arose when the girl parked her car in his intended spot, ignored his request to move, and entered the market. When she returned, he reiterated, Respect people so that people will respect you, which led to her responding, "Get out from here, get out from here."
The case has been registered as a misdemeanor and referred to the General Department of Investigations for further proceedings.
