10,256 people have returned to their original nationalities since 2011

The Central Agency for Illegal Residents announced on Saturday that the status of 10,256 individuals has been adjusted to reflect their original nationalities between 2011 and the end of August 2024. Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Wahib, Director of the Status Adjustment Department, shared this information in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Al-Wahib detailed that 6,054 people changed their status to Saudi nationality, while 1,188 were updated to Iraqi nationality during this period. Additionally, 868 individuals adjusted their status to Syrian nationality, 131 to Iranian nationality, and 53 to Jordanian nationality. Furthermore, 1,962 people switched to other nationalities.<p class='article-text'>He clarified that these figures pertain to individuals who possess official documents for themselves, their fathers, or their grandfathers, and do not include those with other relatives holding proven nationality. Brigadier Al-Wahib urged those seeking to regularize their status to visit the Central Agency at its headquarters (Sharq) in the Eastern Region. He encouraged individuals to comply with residency laws and finalize their status adjustments.
