KUWAIT: A security source revealed that the Ministry of Interior deported 329 expatriates on Sunday. According to the source, several of those deported had been transferred to the Deportation Center by Public Security authorities for violating residency laws, while others were referred by the General Department for Combating Drugs due to possession of drugs or alcohol. The group included 173 female and 156 male expatriates of various nationalities.

The source further explained that the deportees' sponsors are initially contacted to provide flight tickets. If the sponsors fail to do so, the Ministry proceeds with deportation and later holds the sponsors accountable by blocking their applications until the cost of the tickets is reimbursed.
