Embassy of Pakistan: Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman NI (M) Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force is undertaking an official visit to Kuwait from 3-6 August 2016. He met Kuwaiti dignitaries including H.E. Lieutenant General (Staff) Sheikh Khalid Al Jarrah Al- Sabah, Defense Minister of the State of Kuwait, Chief of General Staff, Kuwait Armed Forces, Lieutenant General (Staff) Mohammad Khaled Al-Khader, Commander of Kuwait Land Forces Major General (Staff) Khalid Al-Saleh Al-Sabah, Commander of Kuwait Naval Forces Major General Khalid Ahmed Abdullah and Commander of Kuwait Air Force Major General (Staff) Abdullah Yaqoob Al-Foudari.
The Air Chief met the retired Pakistan Armed Forces personnel working with Kuwaiti Air Force. He also met Pakistan community members.
The visit is a manifestation of the close and fraternal ties between the two countries and has provided an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest and enhance cooperation between the Air Forces� of the two countries and discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of Training and Aviation Industry.
On the Auspicious occasion of EID ul Fiter, the Embassy of Pakistan will remain closed from 5th July to 9th Jul-2016 (Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday, Friday and Saturday). The Embassy will reopen with its routine office timings from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday 10th July 2016.

Hafiz Muhammad Shabbir, a prominent businessman was appointed as Member of Oversease Pakistanis Advisory Council (OPAC) by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Islamabad on 30th May, 2013. The Ministry has decided to end the tenure of existing members of OPAC.
The Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the State of Kuwait acknowledges the contribution made by Hafiz Muhammad Shabbir for the welfare of the community, during his tenure as member of OPAC, Kuwait.
The Second Round of Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Kuwait was held on 29th May 2016 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait.
Mr. Muhammad Waheed-ul-Hassan, Special Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led Pakistan's delegation, which also included the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait. The Kuwaiti side was led by Ambassador Ali Sulaiman Al-Saeed, Assistant Foreign Minister, Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the entire gamut of bilateral relations. Expressing satisfaction on the existing level of relationship, both the delegations agreed on the need to further strengthen the two way ties. They in particular agreed to increase interaction at leadership level, promote investments, enhance exchange of visits by businessmen, and raise cooperation between Pakistan and the Kuwait Fund for development projects in Pakistan. The two sides also discussed ways and means to ease visa restrictions on Pakistan nationals and increase recruitment of Pakistani manpower for employment in Kuwait, keeping in view the close and fraternal ties between the two countries.
Views were also exchanged on the issues confronting the region. The Special Secretary while highlighting Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's vision of a "Peaceful Neighbourhood" briefed the Kuwaiti side on the efforts being made by Pakistan towards promotion of friendly relations with its neighbours. He also highlighted the achievements made under the ongoing operation' Zarb-e-Azb' against terrorists.
The Pakistani side also briefed the Kuwaiti side on efforts for increasing regional connectivity through China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and invited them to invest in energy and infrastructure development projects in Pakistan.
Embassy of Pakistan: The Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Ghulam Dastgir, today called on H.E. Sheikh Slaman Sabah Salem Al-Hamood Al-Sabah, Minister of Information and Minister of State of Youth Affairs of Kuwait. Matters of mutual interest and cooperation in the field of media were discussed during the meeting. Ambassador highlighted the role of media and the challenges to regulate it in the contemporary world. The Ambassador praised the existing level of brotherly relations between the two states and the expressed desire of Pakistani leadership to expand cooperation between the two brotherly countries in diverse fields including media. The Minister warmly welcomed the Ambassador and briefed him about the vibrant media in Kuwait and measure being taken by the state of Kuwait to regulate the media in positive development of youth.
The Ambassador invited the Minister to visit Pakistan at a convenient time. The Minister assured the Ambassador of his full support to the Embassy's efforts in enhancing mutual cooperation.
