KUWAIT: McDonald’s Kuwait wrapped up its My Heritage competition with a showcase and awards ceremony, held on Wednesday evening at the McDonald’s Corniche restaurant. The competition which had concluded on February 28th was open to all members of the local community, providing a platform for them to display their creativity, imagination and artistic skills while also highlighting Kuwait’s heritage, culture and traditions.
We are extremely pleased with the number of amazing submissions we received for our My Heritage competition. The participants displayed an impressive range of creativity and talent, and were able to capture the rich heritage of Kuwait in so many rich ways. The result was this incredible showcase some of the best elements of Kuwait’s culture said Sherif Coutry, Marketing Director of McDonald’s Kuwait.
McDonald’s Kuwait had called upon people across Kuwait to enter the My Heritage competition, which included two different submission categories. Participants were able to take part in either one or both of the categories, by either submitting photos or pictures depicting Kuwaiti heritage – including landmarks, traditions, and customs – or by creating drawings or paintings to showcase this heritage.
Throughout the evening. Members of the public were able to browse the works of art on display and vote for their favorites. At the end of the showcase, Joy Anne Masigla-Santo sand Peringode Unnikrishnan were named the winners of the photography category, Umme Habiba Mohammad Anjam (Pakistani) and Fatimah Salman were selected as the winners in the drawings and paintings category, and all four winners were awarded with KWD 500 Each.

I am proud of the works of art that this competition has produced and of the role we played to support these budding local artists.”
Embassy of Pakistan to Kuwait in Collaboration with PBC (Pakistan Business Consul), PCS (Pakistan Cultural Society) arranged mefil e Qawali on 6th March 2015, in Mareena Hall Jaleeb Al Shuaikh, Kuwait. Famous Qawal Fareed Ayasz with his Team came to kuwait for the first time to perform on the special invitation, Hundreds of Qawali Lovers and well known personalities attended the event.
KUWAIT: UK International a Private training institute organized International Education fair on 4th of March, 2015 in crown plaza hotel Kuwait, Representatives of around 25 Universities from USA, Canada, UK and Australia had participated in the exhibition. Hundreds of students from multiple nationalities attended and discussed about their further studies.
The Ambassador of Pakistan H.E Mohammad Aslam Khan appreciated the efforts of Mohammd Jamil CEO of UK International Kuwait.
KUWAIT: SPDIK (Society of Pakistanis Doctors in Kuwait) has Organized Family get-together at Kabad Desert on 25-Feb-2015, Ambassador of Pakistan H.E Mohammad Aslam Khan with his family also participated in this gathering, limited families were invited by the SPDIK Management and at the end Lunch was served.
