KUWAIT: An impressive function was held today at the Chancery to celebrate the 50th Defence Day of Pakistan. Despite being a working day, a large number of Pakistan nationals living in Kuwait attended the function.
The ceremony began with playing the national anthem. This was followed by a crowded function in the Quaid-e-Azam Auditorium, which started with recitation from the Holy Quran, followed a beautiful segment of singing of popular national songs and tableau dedicated to the martyrs of the Peshawar massacre and our Armed Forces by school children, which was enthusiastically appreciated by the audience.
The Ambassador read out the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. In his own remarks on the occasion, the Ambassador touched on the great sacrifices rendered by our heroic armed forces for the protection of the homeland.
An exhibition displaying the memorable moments of the 1965 war was also displayed which was appreciated by the participants and media.
This was followed by serving of traditional Pakistani dishes. The crowd was fully involved in the celebrations, enthusiastically chanting the slogans of Pakistan Zindabad, Pakistan ka matlab kia, and Pak Fouj Zindabad.

(Member OPAC: Hafiz Shabir) in collaboration with KPFY, PQNCK, Pakistan Business Center and Helpdesk, Two schools kids has performed on national songs and local singers sang live songs with tabala support.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait H.E Aslam Khan attended the event as a Chief guest, Beautiful Shields were award to participant of Mango Festival that held few months ago and for the Media Team including PIK – Pakistanis in Kuwait for their quality and unconditional participation in Pakistani events.
